What comes to your mind (and heart) when you think of the Holy Spirit?
What fears do you have about the Holy Spirit?
Two fears that people may have about the Holy Spirit:
- That if you ask for the Holy Spirit, nothing will happen...
- If you ask for the Holy Spirit is that He WILL show up!
The Holy Spirit might bring CHANGE to our lives. This kind of fear leads to an "ignorance is bliss" attitude.
There is one things that we should be afraid of when it comes to the Holy Spirit: Quenching the Spirit.
A Prayer for all Christians to pray:
"Lord, remove my fears and give me your Holy Spirit. Give me the gift(s) you want me to have. Empower me to do what you want me to do. Give me the strength and the heart, Holy Spirit, to follow wherever you lead me."
