Two False Narratives:

1. What matters is having faith in Jesus, not having an ongoing relationship with Him.
2. The only way to be a good Christian is to keep all of the rules.

Jesus' Narrative:

1. Abide (Remain) in Me...
2. Bear Fruit...

Scripture:  John 15:5-8

To abide is not done by observing a set of outer activities...  to abide in Jesus involves spending time with Him.

Bearing Fruit = Putting on the Character of Christ

Scripture:  Galatians 5:22-23
