Scripture: John 17
A false perspective found in the Church: If we disagree on anything, we must divide.
The Kingdom of God perspective: Christ-followers must remain united.
What Jesus said about Church unity: "I pray they may be one" (John 17:20-21)
What Paul said about Church unity: "We are one in Christ." (Col. 3:11, Gal. 3:28)
In essentials unity . . . in non-essentials charity.
"If your heart is as my heart, then take my hand." -John Wesley
Love and commitment to Christ are essential.
We must agree on this . . . JESUS IS LORD!
