Our Values & Beliefs
Woodinville Community United Methodist Church is committed to making followers of Jesus Christ who know him, love him and worship him. We are called to be disciples who reflect the image of Jesus Christ, serve God in the world around us, and lead others into a relationship with Him. We follow the Great Commission of Jesus to "go and make disciples of all nations", and the Great Commandment to "love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind" and to "love your neighbor as yourself."
Our Vision is "Sharing the Transforming Love of Jesus Christ Across the Street and Around the World". We organize our programs into five "Purpose Areas" to fulfill this vision -- Worship, Ministry, Outreach, Fellowship and Discipleship.
We believe the church belongs to God and that the church is, in the words of the Apostle Paul, the body of Christ. The church is called to be the physical presence of Christ in the world. We are a United Methodist Church and hold to the historic doctrines of the Christian faith. Methodists are known for our emphasis on personal faith lived out in concrete ways in the world. We value well-informed Biblical and passionate preaching, worship that is lively, and small groups where people can grow in faith.
