When we become ill, it is Jehovah Rapha, "The Lord is our Healer" who reaches down from heaven to heal.

We sometimes blame God or question his goodness when we have sickness or things go wrong rather than looking at the enemy, Satan, who comes "to kill, steal and destroy".

We must not confuse God's choice not to heal in some situations with an inability to heal.

God works through miraculous healings and through doctors and medicines-but when a situation seems hopeless and impossible, God is the ultimate doctor and with him everything is possible.

Satan's physical attacks take on all sorts of forms. We need to be bold in the face of the enemy -- put on our spiritual armor, trust in God and not back down.

God created us to be fully functioning warriors of his kingdom and we need to believe what He says in his word - that He is the one who "... forgives all my iniquities, who heals all my diseases, who redeems my life from destruction, who crowns me with loving kindness and tender mercies."

God is able to heal all diseases - he knit us together in the womb - who knows our bodies better than he does?

A personal testimony:

Robin shares the story of her struggle with an eating disorder. She cried out to God daily. Her family and friends prayed. It was a long, dark time, but she never gave up hope that God would heal her. And one day, she woke up and God had healed her. Not only did he heal her, but through the process of recovery, he also revealed who the person was that he created - a new person to serve his purpose.

God turned around Satan's attack, raised her up from the ashes of destruction and used this to further his will. God always wins!

God heals. He hasn't changed. He is still the powerful, almighty God he has always been.
