God is Good

Are our narratives (stories) about God consistent with the God Jesus revealed?
Jesus boldly proclaimed that His Heavenly Father is good--good like no other. (Matthew 19:17: There is only One who is good."
Many people have a "punishing God" narrative that claims God is always seeking to punish for our sins... and that we suffer because we've sinned.
Jesus rebutted that narrative with an explanation of two tragic events:
Luke 13:1-5
John 9:1-11
Jesus did not attribute blame to the man or his parents for the fact that the man was blind. Instead, Jesus healed the man of his blindness. He saw the dilemma of the man as an opportunity to do God's work.
