False Narrative: Earning Favor
Love and forgiveness are commodities that are exchanged for performance. God's love, acceptance, and forgiveness msut be merited by right living.

Jesus' Narrative: The Generous God
Love and forgiveness are not dependant on our performance. God's love and forgiveness is a generous gift of grace.
Matthew 20:1-15
The true narrative, that God loves us and longs for us to love him in return, provides a genuine and lasting incentive to change.
I John 4:7-11
What we think about God will determine not only who we are but how we live, and our relationship with God.
If we have low or false views about God, we are actually committing a form of idolatry, worshiping a false god.
The God Jesus reveals is GENEROUS!
