Scripture: Mark 14:53-72
It was not the "sinners" who arrested God when he walked among us, but rather the most pious and religious of the Jewish people.The leaders were fearful. They saw Jesus as a threat to their way of life, their positions of authority, and their status among the Jews.
Peter's denial is a reminder that we who have answered the call to follow Jesus are tempted at times to deny even that we know Him.
We are reminded to be counted among His followers, regardless of the cost.
