Close Encounters at the Cross: "The Woman at the Well"
Jesus removes all barriers: Religious-Ethnic, Gender and Reputation
He took the initiative and started a personal conversation.
He does not talk about being superior in religious beliefs or practice.
Jesus avoids a discussion of religion and instead focuses on God and Himself.
He used the Samaritan woman's concepts/literature in an affirming way.
He meets her gently at her point of need.
The result was many of the Samaritans believed in Jesus because of the woman's testimony.
