A Father’s Day Message – “A Father’s Love”

 “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.” (Psalm 103:13-14)

• The story of an ordinary, yet “most amazing man”
• How we view our earthly father impacts our view of our Heavenly Father
    -Some do not have a positive association with the fact that God is father
    -Even good fathers cannot be perfect ––only God the Father is perfect
• Our pictures of God need to be corrected
    -Revelation through Jesus
    -Revelation through the Bible, God’s Word
    -Forgiveness
• Overcoming a father’s negative example
• A challenge  - “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love.”  (Ephesians 5:1)
